Our Story
We should note that we met 15 years ago....
We actually met 15 years ago while we were both students at the University of Florida. It would take years, a little growing up, and the unprecedented circumstances of a global pandemic before our story really began.
It really starts with an evacuation from Faye's PHD studies in Kenya back to the US and a chance message reaching out about reconnecting. We took that chance, and decided to make a socially distanced trip to Shired Island on the Gulf Coast to look for the Comet NEOWISE passing overhead.

Off to the Gulf, to see the comet NEOWISE, spoiler, we maybe saw a white smudge in the sky.
December 2020
Moving Mark's sailboat to St. Petersburg. One of many adventures on the water; a key ingredient in our relationship.
2021
The First Major Road Trip! We traveled across I-10 to New Mexico and up to Colorado to visit Denver family. Then home via Arkansas and Tennessee.

We travel to the Florida Folk Festival by converted sailboat held together with flex seal tape.

Faye & Travis travel to India for the wedding of Arsum and Sahil.
Spring 2024
A return to the Gulf and Shired Island, this time by bike along the Dixie Mainline.

Baby Josie is born!

New Nephew, Avery is born!

We welded Rachel & Aeson's wedding arch!
Fall 2024
A trip to romantic Italy, gorgeous lake Lugano, Genoa, the Cinqueterre Coast, but no proposal. This has made a number of sisters quite cross.
